Alani Skin MD injectables, upper face Tox procedure with a female patient and practitioner.

Upper Face Tox

Upper Face Tox uses neuromodulators — Botox, Dysport, or Jeuveau — to gently relax the muscles behind forehead lines, crow’s feet, and the ’11s’ between your brows for a smoother, more rested appearance. Results show within 3–7 days and typically last 3–4 months.

Pre Treatment

Avoid Blood Thinners: Steer clear of aspirin, ibuprofen, and other blood thinners for about a week before an appointment to minimize the risk of bruising.

Post Treatment

Don’t Touch the Area: Avoid rubbing the treated areas for at least 24 hours to allow it to settle properly.

Stay Upright: Remain upright for a few hours after treatment to ensure product stays in intended area and doesn’t migrate.

Recommended Frequency

Every 3-4 months for maintenance.

Upper Face Botox FAQs

Everything you need to know before your first appointment — or your next one.

Is Upper Face Tox safe?
Yes — when performed by a trained provider. Upper face tox requires precise placement across multiple muscle groups, and technique matters significantly. All Alani Skin MD providers are specifically trained in upper face anatomy and injection technique to ensure safe, natural-looking results.
Each area targets a different muscle. Forehead tox relaxes the frontalis muscle to smooth horizontal lines. The 11s (glabellar lines) target the corrugator and procerus muscles to soften the crease between the brows. Crow’s feet treatment addresses the orbicularis oculi muscle at the outer corners of the eyes. Your Alani provider will assess all three zones and recommend a personalized treatment plan based on your muscle activity and goals.
Our providers use a conservative, natural-first approach. The goal is to soften — not eliminate — movement so results look like you, just refreshed.
Typically 3–4 months, after which muscle movement gradually returns. Regular treatments help maintain results over time.
All three relax the same muscles but have slightly different formulations. Your provider will recommend the best fit for your treatment area and goals.
