Halo Hybrid Laser FAQs: Phoenix & Scottsdale

Everything you need to know before your first appointment — or your next one.

What is Halo Laser and what makes it different from other laser treatments?
Halo is the world’s first hybrid fractional laser that simultaneously delivers both ablative and non-ablative laser wavelengths in a single treatment. The ablative wavelength resurfaces the outer skin layer to address texture, pigmentation, and sun damage, while the non-ablative wavelength penetrates deeper to stimulate collagen production and improve skin tone and pore size. The result is more comprehensive improvement than either wavelength alone with less downtime than a traditional fully ablative resurfacing laser.
Halo is one of the most versatile skin resurfacing treatments available, effectively addressing sun damage, pigmentation, fine lines, rough texture, enlarged pores, and overall skin dullness. For patients in the Phoenix and Scottsdale area dealing with cumulative UV damage and premature aging from year-round sun exposure, Halo is one of the most impactful single treatments available to reset and rejuvenate the skin.
CO2 and CoolPeel are fully ablative lasers that resurface the skin’s surface for aggressive correction, particularly effective for deeper wrinkles and significant texture damage, but with more downtime. Halo’s hybrid approach delivers ablative resurfacing alongside deep non-ablative collagen stimulation in one pass, offering results closer to a full ablative treatment with a more manageable recovery. Your Alani provider can help you determine which laser is best suited to your skin concerns and lifestyle during a free consultation.
Most patients experience 3–5 days of redness, swelling, and a bronzed or sandpaper-like texture as the treated skin naturally exfoliates. By days 5–7 the skin has largely healed and a visible glow and improvement in tone and texture becomes apparent. Full results continue to develop over the following weeks as new collagen remodels. Plan your appointment at least one week before any major events.
Avoid direct sun exposure and tanning beds for at least 1–2 weeks before your appointment, and discontinue blood thinners and retinoids one week prior as directed. After treatment, use only a mild cleanser and avoid harsh skincare products for at least a week. Broad-spectrum SPF must be applied consistently for at least 6 weeks post-treatment.
